New MAN coach

October 2017’s introduction of the roll over standard ECE R66.02 has incentivised MAN to update their Lion’s Coach. It will be officially launched at Busworld 2017 in Kortrijk. The manufacturer said that what has emerged is ‘much more than just a stiffening of the body shell’, with changes to its drive train and general design. The new MAN Lion’s Coach marks the launch of what the manufacturer calls a new ‘design language’ within its bus and coach family. Its main headlights and rear lights will now be for the first time available as all LED. A particularly distinctive feature of the new headlight is the strip form brand specific daytime running light. The interior has also been ‘attractively refreshed’.

The Euro6 coach has a number of assistance systems available, such as the topography based MAN EfficientCruise cruise control system with the EfficientRoll coasting function, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), the Lane Guard System (LGS) and MAN Attention Guard. A new generation of shock absorbers and optimised chassis tuning are designed to deliver enhanced ride comfort, improved handling and higher safety reserves.
