New DAF XB underpins ‘refined’ Turas 900s

Fresh from celebrating delivery of the 1,000th Brian Noone vehicle at the Dublin show, Noone and its UK distributor Jones Coach and Bus Sales were showing off a range of models at Euro Bus Expo.

Fielding most of the range on its stand, the pairing had examples of the 900s which will be available with the new DAF XB chassis. Brian Noone MD, Mark Noone, said is a much more sophisticated vehicle with the XB: “The DAF 12-tonne XB with its ZF-derived eight-speed PowerLine gearbox is a more refined package,” said Mark. “We’re looking forward to a very productive 12 months now, with the supply chain stable again.”

Steve Jones, MD of Jones Coach and Bus Sales, also hailed the arrival in March 2025 of the Turas 800s, which will use the 10-tonne version of the chassis, and the reintroduction of the Spinter-based Turas Envoy, with up to 19 seats: “The Turas 800s will be very competitively priced for a 33-seater at around £160,000.

“Our focus this year will also be on aftersales, which is a key feature of our service, in addition to looking for a new sales representative for the English region.”
