New buses for Salisbury Reds
Go-Ahead owned Salisbury Reds is injecting a further investment into services it provides across rural areas of Wiltshire. The operator continued its centenary celebrations by launching six new vehicles in Hindon, two ADL Enviro200s and four Optare Solos. The announcement closely follows the launch of the operator’s new Red 1 fleet.
MD of Salisbury Reds, Andrew Wickham, said, ‘We talk regularly to those who use our services here in Wiltshire and our customers have been very clear about the enhancements they would like to see. We have listened to them by following our recent Red 1 improvements with a very serious investment in the standard of buses we operate across rural areas of the county. These brand new British-built buses will provide comfort, reliability and more seats for those travelling with us. They will operate on Hindon and Tisbury area routes and I am delighted that Andrew Murrison MD MP was present to help us launch the new vehicles. We make it our business to listen to the views of those using our buses – and always make efforts to enhance our services wherever we can. I am keen to receive feedback on any aspect of Salisbury Reds – but am particularly looking forward to learning people’s views over the coming weeks about our newly introduced buses.’
