New Adventure’s Metrodecker trial

Optare’s 11.1m Metrodecker demonstrator has been delivered to New Adventure Travel (NAT Group) for the start of a trial in Cardiff. The operator recently acquired a further ten Optare Metrocity buses following what was described as ‘excellent’ in service fuel economy results. This takes the number of Metrocitys ordered by NAT Group to 30 in the last 12 months. With over 110 buses and coaches in its fleet, the company currently operates 30 Optare Metrocitys, 12 Solos and six Tempos.

MD, NAT Group, Kevyn Jones, said, ‘We are very much looking forward to putting the Metrocity’s big brother, the Metrodecker, through its paces, especially after hearing about its fantastic mpg performance on previous in service trials.’
