NCT’s double deck decision praised

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has been commended by the University of Nottingham’s President of the Students’ Union, Harry Copson, for its decision to upgrade the 34 service to double deckers. This service runs between the City, Derby Road and University Park with a frequency from every five minutes on weekdays, every 20 minutes during the evenings and through the night with the N34, as well as every 12 to 15 minutes at weekends.

NCT Marketing Manager, Anthony Carver-Smith, said, ‘It became apparent last year that the 34 is the preferred service for most staff and students – thanks largely to the fact that it’s very regular, reliable and includes safer, more convenient stops on campus – but also it has the added bonus of free wi-fi on board! As a consequence of its popularity, the buses were at full capacity most of the time. We’ve held strong relationships with both of the city’s universities for many years and with the Go2 Uni routes growing in popularity year on year, the upgrade to double deck was an obvious move.’
