NCT wins science and tech award

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has won the Excellence in Science and Technology Award in the Nottingham Post Business Awards. The accolade recognised the operator’s investment in its real-time technology and Control Room. Manned 24/7, the facility has enabled the operator to make significant enhancements to the running of its bus network. It allows customers to access live bus departure information through a responsive website and apps, with disruptions information, news and alerts communicated through social media to around 60,000 followers.
