NCT freezes school pass prices

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has frozen prices on its Academic Year passes, which went on sale recently. The city’s school and college students will pay £91.50 for NCT’s Autumn Term pass, or just £219 for the full Academic Year. It entitles its holders to unlimited travel in the city, working out at 64p a day. On sale until 12 September for the autumn term, or 24 October for the academic year, NCT has seen its pass sales increase year on year.

NCT’s Marketing Manager, Anthony Carver-Smith, said, ‘We’ve been able to freeze prices on our Academic Year passes and their increasing popularity shows they’ve become an essential part of the usual “back to school” purchases for many parents. Not only are parents appreciating the fantastic cost saving, but it’s also taking away the hassle of having to find bus fare every day! More importantly, knowing their child has their pass gives parents the peace of mind they’ll be travelling safely – even if they’ve spent all their cash elsewhere! Travelling to and from school or college on our buses is safe, reliable, comfortable and very cost-effective thanks to these great deals on passes. Our Travel Centre staff are preparing for their busiest time yet and we’re opening up on Sundays and for longer on Saturdays to give parents more time to buy their passes.’
