NCT achieves Earned Recognition Status
Nottingham City Transport (NCT) is now part of the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme.
The scheme enables fleets to prove they meet stringent driver and vehicle standards by showing that they have robust systems and processes in place that are continuously monitoring their own performance, promote effective and proactive transport management and being fully compliant with vehicle and road safety standards.
NCT says Earned Recognition brings many benefits for it, including:
- Demonstration that NCT is proven to be an exemplary operator with safety at the forefront
- Proven to be compliant with all standards
- Being less likely to have vehicles stopped at the roadside
- Being less likely to have DVSA visit our premises
- Access to future DVSA incentives

Achieving Earned Recognition Status has been a year-long project across NCT, led by NCT’s Operational Compliance Manager, Natalie Monaghan-Smith. Natalie said: “Having worked on the Earned Recognition Project for nearly a year, ensuring all of our policies, procedures and systems are up to date and in line with the national standards, I am very pleased that all of the hard work has paid off. I would like to thank everyone throughout the company for their help and support during this process and playing such an important part in NCT being accepted in to the scheme.”
