NatEx’s new Gatwick link to Kent

National Express is to launch a new round-the-clock route between Gatwick Airport and Kent. The 24/7 straight-to-the-terminal service is thought to be the only means of travelling between Gatwick and Kent directly via public transport. Starting in December, it will serve both terminals from locations throughout Kent eight times a day, with journey times estimated to be as little as an hour, which it says is 45 minutes quicker than their rail counterparts, all of which involve at least one change. Pick up and drop off points will include Canterbury, Chatham, Gillingham, Maidstone, Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. Tickets for the service are already available. The operator also serves the airport from London, South Wales, the South Coast, the Midlands and East Anglia, operating hundreds of thousands of passenger journeys a year.

National Express MD, Tom Stables, said, ‘Our new services to Gatwick offer for the first time a direct link from the airport to Kent by public transport and underline our position as the UK’s number one provider of straight-to-the-airport travel.’
