NatEx supports Armed Forces Day
National Express has become the first company in the UK to publicly show its support of Armed Forces Day. The operator is offering a discount for travel to the event in Stirling. Serving personnel are eligible for 60% off travel through the Defence Discount Service and for everyone else National Express is also offering 50% off all fares to Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh for travel on 27 June and 28 June with a special online offer. This will enable people to travel ahead of the celebrations, which include a parade, stalls and activities, the day before. This is the latest in a range of measures offered to the nation’s Armed Forces by the operator, which offers guaranteed job interviews for people leaving the forces with a PCV licence for its driving vacancies. MD of National Express UK Coach, Tom Stables, said, ‘Armed Forces Day is rapidly becoming a highlight of the summer calendar and we understand many people will already be thinking about their travel plans for the big day.
