NatEx and BlaBlaCar Bus join forces
National Express and European coach operator BlaBlaCar Bus have formed a new partnership to create a link to Paris from hundreds of UK destinations via London Victoria Coach Station.
John Boughton, Commercial Director at National Express, said: “We’re pleased to be partnering with BlaBlaCar Bus to reinstate our presence in Europe following the pandemic, connecting our UK-wide network with Paris and other key destinations on the BlaBlaCar network, including Brussels and Amsterdam.
“We want to help people make those all-important, money-saving, greener choices when it comes to travelling. This partnership not only offers a convenient and seamless booking experience for our customers, they can also look forward to a comfortable, affordable and more reliable journey compared to the cost of flying or enduring long queues at the airport.”
Aurélien Gandois, Vice President of BlaBlaCar Bus, added: “Our mission at BlaBlaCar has always been to make travel more accessible, convenient, and environmentally friendly. Partnering with National Express allows us to offer more options for travellers to reach Paris sustainably and comfortably. We are excited to bring together our networks to provide an enhanced travel experience for passengers.”
BlaBlaCar is a community-based travel app enabling 27 million active members a year to share a ride in 21 countries. Its technology matches drivers with empty seats with passengers heading the same way, so they can share the cost of the trip. BlaBlaCar combines carpooling with bus journeys from over 5,000 operators.
