MP thanks Nottingham drivers

Lilian Greenwood MP joined Campaign for Better Transport in Nottingham to celebrate the city’s bus drivers. The Nottingham South MP presented bus drivers from Nottingham City Transport (NCT), trentbarton and Kinchbus with a thank-you card from bus passengers across the country at NCT’s Lower Parliament Street depot.

Messages of thanks were collected during Campaign for Better Transport’s Better Transport Week, a week-long celebration of sustainable transport that took place in June. Members of the public were encouraged to thank their bus drivers either in-person or on social media using the hashtag #betterbybus.

Buses and coaches are vital to the economy and to reducing congestion on our roads and with single bus fares in England currently capped at £2, we’re hoping more people will hop on board and discover the benefits of buses.”
