More acquisitions planned for The Coach Travel Group

Tom Stables, the CEO of a newly formed consortium of seven coach operators, has announced further acquisitions for the Group are planned.

Tom made the announcement on The Coach Travel Group’s website, where he also revealed further insight into the consortium.

Tom said on the website: “The Coach Travel Group will undoubtedly change the shape and look of our industry. My vision is for us to be the leading national coach travel provider, providing excellent services across the UK rooted in our local communities and markets.”

The piece says the ambition of the Group is to serve the whole of the UK, leveraging the combined strengths of its local operators to drive success and achieve its shared goals.

The Coach Travel Group has created six key values that it says reflects the ethos and culture of its local brands:

Tom said: “In one stroke we have created one of the leading names in the travel and tourism sector. Across our seven local brands we have a combined fleet of 450 high-specification vehicles, ranging from minibuses to large executive coaches.”

Over the past 12 months, its operators have transported 143,804 passengers on a variety of holidays and day trips.

More figures cited include the combined group transporting over 11,600 children across 232 daily routes.

On how the merger affects the more than 700 current employees, Tom said: “We are here to support our team and have assured them that their job roles, responsibilities, salary, benefits and terms of employment will stay the same. Our priority is to maintain the stability and continuity that have been the foundation of the success of our local brands. We promise to be transparent and ensure that our people are fully informed and supported every step of the way.”
