Mellor has sales success in Kiel

Mellor has announced the delivery of three Sigma 7s to Kiel in Germany.

The delivery marks a significant milestone for Mellor’s expansion into international markets.

Throughout the process, Mellor and Jebsen & Jessen worked closely with regional transport company KVG to understand its specific operational requirements and optimise the configuration of the Sigma 7 buses. As part of the process, KVG’s bus operators underwent a three-month training course using one of Mellor’s demonstration vehicles ahead of the delivery of the new buses.

The electric KVG Sigma 7 buses have been tailored to seat 14 passengers with one wheelchair space. They are each equipped with Mellor’s cold climate adaptions, enabling them to withstand the harsh weather conditions typically experienced in northern Germany. These enhancements include a powerful driver and saloon HVAC system, along with a battery thermal pre-conditioning system, ensuring an extended driving range in cold temperatures.
