Mellor and Treka Bus form strategic partnership

Mellor Bus and Treka Bus are forming a strategic partnership.

The team-up is aimed at synergising their product offerings, sales and account management teams to enhance value to customers. This collaboration comes as a result of a shared vision to better serve customers and optimise business operations.

This strategic alignment is intended to enable both entities to streamline their sales efforts, designed to provide customers with a comprehensive suite of passenger transport solutions tailored to their needs.

Richard Matthews, Head of Sales of the sales and account management teams for both brands, said: “Both businesses carry the same values and focus on inclusivity and dignity for all passengers, product innovation and customer service, so this move is a natural evolution for us. For many years there has been an overlap in the customers we’re talking to as different companies with complementary products, but both brands belong to the same Woodall Nicholson group of companies and share the same strategic intent in the market. This move will help us to focus our efforts on adding value to customers and developing further our business.”

The two companies assure customers ‘service excellence’ will continue as the integration takes shape. While the sales team will be unified under one banner, operations and aftercare will continue with dedicated teams, which it says will ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption. ‘Customers will continue to receive the same high-quality support and attention they have come to expect from both the Mellor and Treka brands,’ according to a joint statement from the brands.

The newly formed sales team comprises of:

  • Stephen Haywood is responsible for Central England, South Wales, South West England and the Scotland regions
  • Jane Dransfield will continue to focus on North England and look after North Wales
  • James Cook will cover the South East of England

By combining forces, the pair say they are poised to deliver unparalleled value to customers across the UK and beyond.
