McGill’s owners make offer for shipyard

Sandy and James Easdale, owners of Greenock based McGill’s Buses, have made an offer for the last remaining shipyard on the river Clyde, according to press reports. The company in question is Ferguson Shipbuilders, which went into administration on 14 August 2014. Blair Nimmo and Tony Friar of KPMG LLP were appointed as Joint Administrators of Ferguson Shipbuilders Limited, Newark Joiners Limited and Ferguson-Ailsa Limited (the Group) at the request of the companies.
