McGill’s offering interviews to Amazon staff
Greenock-based McGill’s Buses is offering job interviews to all Amazon staff from a local depot that are at risk of redundancy.
Amazon plans to close its distribution centre in Gourock, just over two miles from the operator’s home town, putting about 300 jobs at risk. A range of job vacancies are available at the bus operator.
Sandy Easdale, one of McGill’s joint owners, said: “In an attempt to show our support to those at risk, the McGill’s Group is offering a guaranteed interview for those who are looking for new opportunities.
“We have a range of roles available across our three depots at Greenock, Inchinnan and Johnstone which may be of interest to those at risk whose skills could be easily transferable.”
