McGill’s go for Citaros
McGill’s has placed a £2.5m order for 14 new Euro6 Mercedes-Benz Citaros. The 12m buses will play an integral part in the company’s development plans for the popular Glasgow to Largs routes. They will have 44 seats, free Wi-fi and tinted glass. Delivery of the new vehicles is expected over July and August.
McGill’s MD, Ralph Roberts, said, ‘Feedback from our customers is that they choose McGill’s because they appreciate the reliability, the quality, free Wi-fi and the great value tickets. The addition of these brand new Citaros supports our commitment to provide our passengers – both current and new – with a first-rate service at unbeatable prices. With journey times similar to those of the train, and with fares as much as 50% cheaper with McGill’s, we believe this recent investment in the fleet will encourage many more people to choose McGill’s!’
