McGill’s doubling FlixBus commitment

McGill’s Bus Group is to significantly increase the scale of its partnership with FlixBus this year.

Greenock-based McGill’s is to invest £7.5m into the expansion with the travel tech’ business, bringing more new coaches into its fleet. The expansion is due to start this spring ahead of increasing travel demand during the summer. The operator is to put 19 new coaches with FlixBus specification, including a green interior design, into service, bringing its total to more than 40 on the Flix network.

FlixBus and McGill’s have partnered to deliver a Scottish network since summer 2022, growing it fivefold last year. This latest expansion is expected to create an additional 65 jobs.
