MCard promotes its discounted travel

MCard, the multi-operator smartcard brand for West Yorkshire, has launched a new marketing campaign.

The marketing push is designed to encourage full-time students and those under 26-years-old to make the most of discounted unlimited weekly and monthly travel on buses or trains right across West Yorkshire.

Full time students and those under 26 can enjoy huge savings on unlimited bus and train travel throughout West Yorkshire when purchasing weekly or monthly tickets. Up to 44% discount off the equivalent adult-priced ticket. They are available to anyone aged under 26, whether they are studying, working or just want cheaper travel as well as to full-time students aged over 26.  The range of tickets start at just £18 per week for unlimited West Yorkshire travel on any bus with monthly options also available.

Richard Armitage, Chair of the West Yorkshire Ticketing Company, said: “The cost of transport can be a barrier to young people getting to work and accessing further education that can improve their career prospects. So, it’s great to be able to offer discounted travel through MCard so young people can live their lives, stay connected and enjoy what West Yorkshire. MCard and the discounted travel it offers enables them to do that cheaply and conveniently.

“MCard are aware that the cost-of-living crisis has had an impact on everyone’s lives, having discounted travel is vital to ensure young people can travel around West Yorkshire for College, University or for work.”
