MAN opens new Gateshead dealership

MAN has opened a new dealership, in Gateshead, as part of a £20 million investment in the north east.

The dealership, located at the Team Valley Trading Estate in Tyne and Wear, will support a range of MAN vehicles including buses, coaches, vans and trucks.

Thomas Hemmerich, Managing Director MAN Truck & Bus, said: “The new facility will allow us to continue to grow further across the region and we’re all incredibly excited to have this opportunity.”

Construction of the 3.3 acre site began in January 2019 and was completed in November of the same year. Inside the building are 12 workshop bays, an MOT ATF test lane and various amenities for customers.

Tim Witty, Development Director at UK Land Estates, commented: “This is a fantastic investment by an international company in the North East, and a real vote of confidence in the region.”

The site is open 24 hours a day on Monday to Friday.
