M74 roadwork delays

Motorists are being advised to expect delays on both carriageways of the M74 between junctions four and five, Maryville and Raith, from 2 April for approximately eight days, as part of the £500m M8 M73 M74 Motorway Improvements Project. In addition, a stretch of the M74 between Bothwell and Uddingston will be reduced from three lanes to two in both directions. When complete, the improvements will significantly reduce congestion across the central Scotland motorway network, shaving approximately 15 minutes off the daily commute.
