Lloyd Morgan offering electric vehicle safety course

Lloyd Morgan Group is offering a course on electric and hybrid vehicle safety.

The training specialist is now helping upskill technicians, engineers and workshop staff to work safely around high-voltage electric and hybrid vehicles.

Lloyd Morgan Group has combined the Level 2 award in electric/hybrid vehicle routine maintenance activities and Level 3 award in electric/hybrid vehicle system repair and replacement to create a three-day training course. On completion of the course candidates will have obtained a Level 3 approved qualification, demonstrating they have the core knowledge and skills to work safely around and maintain these vehicles as well as the skills and knowledge to remove and replace high voltage components. The course will consist of an online exam (level 2) on day 2 and practical assessments (level 3) on day 3.

“With a shortage of electric/hybrid vehicle qualified workshop staff, Lloyd Morgan Group are delighted to be able to offer this training to help bridge the skills gap this course complements the Level 1 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness course that we have been delivering successfully for a while now. Level 1 is aimed at all staff who are in contact with electrified vehicles, whereas the Level 2 & 3 course is designed specifically for HGV and PSV engineers and workshop staff.”
