Liverpool bus lanes back
Four of Liverpool’s bus lanes have come back into operation following a review. The city’s 26 lanes were suspended in October 2013 to monitor and analyse their effect on traffic flow. As a result of a review by traffic consultants Mott McDonald, it has been decided to remove permanently all the lanes with the exception of the four in the city centre. These are: Lime Street (inbound) between 12.00 and 18.00, Monday to Saturday; St John’s Lane (inbound) between 16.00 and 18.00, Monday to Saturday; Strand Street (right turn) 12.00 and 18.00, Monday to Saturday and Strand Street (southbound) full time operation.
