LGA continues addressing bus funding

LGA are to continue addressing council bus funding during the first meeting of the Local Government Association’s (LGA’s) new Environment, Economy, Housing and Transport Board. It was decided to continue working towards addressing the growing concern about the capacity of councils to fund local bus services. In view of recent announcements on devolution, the LGA is to carry on promoting greater local control of transport budgets in all areas.
