Leopard and 9700 join Henry Cooper Tours’ fleet

Henry Cooper Tours has added a Volvo 9700 and a Plaxton Leopard to its fleet.

The Cramlington-based operator’s Volvo 9700 features the I-Shift gearbox and is fitted with 53 reclining seats, centre-sunken toilet, hot drinks machine and an entertainment package with two monitors. It also has USB charging points at all seats and integrated reversing camera. The coach is fully PSVAR compliant with a lift mounted immediately behind the front axle and silver destination displays.

The Plaxton Leopard is based on a Volvo B8R and is has an I-Shift gearbox and 59 seats. This coach is also fully PSVAR compliant with a lift mounted immediately in front of the rear axle and silver destination displays. The new additions were made to bring the frontline coach fleet up to Euro VI PSVAR standard.

Henry Cooper Director, Graham Greaves, said: “We’re pleased to take delivery of the two latest Volvo vehicles which ensures that we now have four fully PSVAR coaches on offer to our customers, plus two low floor buses. Also, we are gradually upgrading our fleet to meet Euro 6 requirements as more and more cities are tightening up on clean air regulations.”
