Ladies Only to run FreeCityBus

Ladies Only Travel from Wyke, Bradford, has won the contract to operate the Bradford FreeCityBus. The contract starts at the end of March 2014 replacing First West Yorkshire. Three Optare Solos will be used on the route, which runs every ten minutes connecting the city’s two railway stations with the main shopping area, the college, the university and the National Media Museum. It runs Monday to Friday 07.00 to 19.00 and Saturdays 08.00 to 17.30. No changes are to be made to the timetable or the route as part of the change of operator. The service has been operated for five years and is part of a series of free town and city buses throughout West Yorkshire that are operated under contract to the region’s transport authority, Metro.
