Konectbus win Norwich contract?

At the time of going to press, it is understood that Dereham based Konectbus has won the contract to operate the Norwich Park and Ride operation. The contract also includes running Norwich bus station. No official announcement has yet been made, with a standstill period in place to allow time for objections before the contract is fully formalised. The new service is due to commence on 7 September 2015.

A Norfolk County Council spokesperson said, ‘We are currently in the procurement standstill period, which is to allow any unsuccessful bidder the opportunity to challenge our award decision. Our current operators, Norse and Konectbus, will continue to run our Park and Ride Service in the meantime.’
