Kings Ferry’s fruity Friday
Gillingham, Kent, based The Kings Ferry has launched a new express service and doubled an existing service to provide customers with improved connections to the capital. Complimentary fruit was provided to all passengers on launch day 26 February. The 727 City Express service will bypass the often congested Blackwall Tunnel and Canary Wharf, taking a more direct route straight to The Tower of London and London Bridge. Meanwhile an additional 774 service will give passengers from Maidstone more options for getting into Canary Wharf and stops beyond in the City of London. The updates follow a new 726 North Greenwich service. The operator is also giving existing customers 13 months travel for the price of 12 months when they renew their annual ticket.
The Kings Ferry MD, Ian Fraser, said, ‘We’ve listened and responded to our customers’ feedback which has consistently been calling for greater flexibility of choice about where they can alight in the capital, and for additional services from Maidstone. We aim to provide the best possible commuter service into London and these additions further enhance our offer to customers in Kent, while our Fruity Friday simply sweetens the experience for all.’
