Kids’ Wrapped Bus winner
Exterion Media has announced the winner of its Kids’ Wrapped Bus competition. Isla Thoms, aged 10, from Glasgow Gaelic School (Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu) was crowned the winner, seeing her design displayed on a First bus in Glasgow. Isla’s bus wrap design features the River Kelvin as well as other landmarks in the city, such as Kelvingrove Museum and Kibble Palace. In addition to her winning design being printed on the bus, she won a family day trip to the Glasgow Science Centre, as well as a special outreach visit there for her school. The competition runners up were awarded ‘Science Passports’, also to the Glasgow Science Centre. Glasgow has been voted the friendliest city in the UK, according to new research from Exterion Media’s award-winning national consumer panel ‘work.shop.play.’, which reveals how urbanites feel about different cities across the country.
Director at First Glasgow, Duncan Cameron, said, ‘With our fleet of buses used every day by Glasgow’s citizens and visitors to experience and enjoy the city, it makes perfect sense to use one of them to show what makes our city great, so perfectly articulated by Isla’s design. The Kid’s Wrapped Bus competition has been a wonderful way to engage with the local community and our next generation of Glaswegians.’
