Jones Coach and Bus Sales to offer models on new DAF XB
Jones Coach and Bus teamed up with supplier Brian Noone to showcase the latest in the Turas range, including two DAF XB-based Turas 900s.
The DAF XB is the new-generation light truck chassis and comes with the ZF-based Powerline eight-speed auto transmission, which Mark Noone told Bus & Coach Buyer offers another level of sophistication over the outgoing DAF LF. It can have up to 37 seats.
In addition, Jones will be supplying the T800s, again on DAF XB, with 33 seats on the 10t chassis and at a competitive price for the sector, likely to be around £160,000. The vehicle comes as Noone ties up with another manufacturing partner, and sales are brisk enough for Jones to be seeking another sales professional for the English region.
Noone has now sold 1,000-plus Turas vehicles, and Jones Coach and Bus Sales has netted 24 vehicle sales so far this year alone: “For us and for our customers, the most important thing has been that we have built a robust aftersales service,” said Steve Jones, whose Llew Jones Coaches operation runs from the same premises in Llanwrst, North Wales.
The Noone range has also seen the return of the cost-effective, Sprinter-based Envoy conversion, also on show at Euro Bus Expo.
