‘jet red’ launched

Reading BusesKennections brand has launched ‘jet red’, a new bus link between Newbury and Thatcham via West Berkshire Community Hospital. The name of the new brand is derived from what will be their bright colour and their link with the existing ‘jet black’ buses. The Jet services will run up to every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday between Thatcham and Newbury as well as providing late evening and weekend buses. The vehicles on the route will have free Wi-Fi. Introductory special fares for regular customers are being offered, which include a seven day ticket at £10 for adults and £7 for their Boost (18 and under) customers, both these seven day tickets can be bought from the driver. The 30 day ticket will cost £40 for adults and £28 for Boost customers. All these tickets are available on a smartcard which can be bought and topped up online as well as via the new Kennections app also being launched.

Reading Buses Chief Finance and Information Officer, Tony Pettitt, said, ‘We believe that combining jet red and jet black will provide the people of Thatcham and Newbury with a high quality, reliable link which will always be there for them, early to late seven days a week. And to encourage more people to use the buses, we are launching our jet red services with some extremely attractive special offers on 7 and 30 day tickets. We are reducing our simplyNewbury and Thatcham products so that people can save even more by travelling regularly on jet red and jet black.’
