Irish show plans

Preparations for the eighth Coach and Bus Show in Ireland are well under way, according to its organisers. The biannual event, Ireland’s largest bus show, takes place in the RDS Simmonscourt Pavilion on 15 and 16 November. It is organised by the Coach Tourism and Transport Council of Ireland and sponsored by Campion Insurance. It also incorporates the Gala Dinner sponsored by Bridgestone Tyres, which takes place in the Ballsbridge Hotel on the night of 15 November.

National Director of the Coach Tourism and Transport Council, Kevin Traynor, said, ‘To date demand from exhibitors has exceeded all expectations. The show was officially launched at the end of March and already 50% of the total exhibition space has been booked. Events such as this are extremely important to showcase our industry. The industry plays a pivotal role in Irish Tourism and the provision of public and private transport and in doing so generates significant revenue and employment to the state.’
