Horseman tops UK Coach Awards

Reading’s Horseman Coaches has won the UK Coach Operator of the Year title at the UK Coach Awards.

Director, James Horseman, said: “I was quite surprised for us to be awarded, especially when you’re up against the likes of National Express, Shearings and Turners. Obviously, it’s wonderful to receive recognition for the hard work you’ve put in. But it’s not just one person behind this, we have a dedicated team here who all work together. We have great synergy, which is what I think pushes us to the front. We have a young and dynamic team here.

“We have invested in new kit, training for our drivers. We have always known you have to do something more than just tick over.”

So what now for the award winning operator? “It’s just a case of doing what we do best, taking passengers where they need to go and figuring out how we can improve that experience. We often throw ideas at each other and try to identify gaps and opportunities that are out there.

“We have invested heavily in coaches. Three years ago we had no Euro VI. This year we will be taking delivery of our 36th Euro VI.”
