Honk for Hope comes to Newcastle

A Honk for Hope rally has been held in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It saw 60 coaches from operators in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Teesside meet at Washington Services Northbound on the A1. The convoy then travelled through Low Fell and Gateshead into the centre of Newcastle where the vehicles did a circuit of the city centre then along the quayside finishing at the Arena car park for a debrief. The event was well supported and the organisers hope the people that matter will take notice and help what it describes as the forgotten section of transport.
