Hodgsons’ first Scania

Barnard Castle based Hodgsons Coaches has taken delivery of its first Scania. Equipped with Scania’s OmniExpress bodywork, the 14.1m overall length vehicle is based upon a Scania K 400 EB6x2*4 chassis with Scania’s 400hp Euro5 engine and fully automated Opticruise gear selection system. Inside it has 63 passenger seats finished in half-leather, seat back tables, magazine nets, Bosch professional entertainment equipment with two monitors, a centre sunken washroom, a hot water dispenser and a dash mounted fridge. Its repair and maintenance contract will be managed by Scania Darlington.
