Heuliez tops French hybrids

Having 41% of the market in France in 2015, Heuliez Bus is again the leading supplier of hybrid buses in the country. The manufacturer has also recently supplied Madrid and Barcelona with 30 GX Hybrids. Since 2010, over 400 standard and articulated hybrid buses have been produced by the manufacturer, with 150 other units on the order books. The Heuliez Bus hybrid technology combines a downsized diesel engine connected to a generator with integrated starter that supplies the electric motor and recovers braking energy. Before and after the bus stop, the buses run in 100% electric mode.
