Hanover delivering rapid response
Hanover’s multimedia signage is being used to deliver news, developments and advice to passengers. The manufacturer says this is helping the sector deliver a rapid response during the pandemic, in an ever-changing communications environment.
Hanover’s TFT screens have the ability to display still images, animated graphics and high definition videos, enabling users to get messages across in an attractive and reassuring format. Programming is undertaken using Hanover’s own software package, designed to make it quick and convenient to create compelling messages across a fleet.
Faris Bilal, Technical Support Manager, said: “Hanover’s TFT systems enable bus operators to present more information to passengers, with the remote update function allowing content to be updated almost immediately and on a daily basis.
“While they are usually used to present complete vehicle routes, places of interest, connection points, timetables, promotional information and advertising messages, we are finding they are being increasingly adapted to deliver key messages during the pandemic.”
Hanover’s TFTs are available with a choice of both VGA and Ethernet communications options, and in a variety of sizes. The company provides a two-year warranty and offers the back-up of full technical support.
Hanover specialises in audio-visual passenger information, automatic vehicle positioning, geo-localisation and fleet management.
