‘Great sorrow’ as Elcock Reisen enters administration

Telford-based Elcock Reisen has entered administration.

The announcement was made today on the operator’s Facebook page. Its message said: “It comes with great sorrow that as of today, Elcock Reisen has gone into administration therefore all future bookings, holidays and day trips will no longer be able to go ahead.”

The company’s offices will be closed from this Friday.

The message on the company’s Facebook page, which is signed off by the Elcock Reisen Team, said: “Thank you to everybody for your loyalty and valued custom over the many years we have been in business, best wishes to the future. Take care all.”

According to press reports, rising prices and falling contracts were behind financial problems at the firm. They also report that a takeover offer had been made for the operator, but had fallen through.

In summer last year, the business acquired 13 Mercedes-Benz Tourismo Access coaches.
