Grasshopper, the multi-operator bus pass for the North East of Scotland, is now generating over 5,000 passenger trips per month and due to popular demand, it has been extended to cover all of the North East of Scotland with an expanded range of ticket types. Customers from all areas of Aberdeen City and Shire can now benefit from hassle free bus journeys using just one ticket to travel on the services of participating local bus operators during the course of a day or week.
The Grasshopper Pass is a partnership led by bus operators, administered by Aberdeenshire Council and supported by Aberdeen City Council and NESTRANS.
David Phillips, Managing Director for First Aberdeen said: “The Grasshopper Pass is an exciting and successful partnership between private bus operators and the two local authorities. The Grasshopper Pass is one of many investments made by all partners to improve the availability of bus travel. ”
