Go-Ahead wins ‘Transport Project of the Year’
Go-Ahead has won the ‘Transport Project of the Year’ title at the 2024 UK Green Business Awards for creating an all-electric bus city in Oxford.
The award-winning nomination focused on the project led by Go-Ahead’s subsidiary, Oxford Bus Company, which is deploying 104 zero-emission buses across the streets of Oxford by the end of this year. the projects is being funded by local and national government and over £30m of investment from Go-Ahead. Over 80 of these vehicles are already in service in the city.
The project has also seen the full electrification of Oxford Bus Company’s Cowley Depot where 104 bus charging points have been installed.
