Frequenta launched

Arriva North East has launched its new ‘Frequenta’ branding, which promotes its high frequency network of services in and out of Darlington. These routes were revamped in May, providing new cross-town links. To officially launch the services, local students from Mount Pleasant Primary School took part in an oversized board game. Frequenta has seen the operator working in partnership with Connect Tees Valley to help promote and enhance local bus services across the town.

Frequenta is being introduced on the following services: Service 2 – Red Hall and Branksome into Darlington (up to every 10 minutes), Service 3 – Skerne Park into Darlington (up to every ten minutes), Service 4 – Minor’s Crescent into Darlington (up to every ten minutes), Services 9 and 10 – Haughton Road into Darlington (up to every five minutes) and Service 13 – Firth Moor into Darlington (up to every five minutes). In addition, buses on North Road operate up to every seven to eight minutes.

Area MD for Arriva North East, Nick Knox, said, ‘We are really passionate about the service we deliver to our local communities and Frequenta is really going to help us promote the high frequency network of routes that run throughout the town and beyond. We’re confident more and more people we realise the benefits of using buses, knowing that on most routes in the town they can just turn up at their bus stop and know that there are buses up to every five and ten minutes throughout the day. The high frequency of the services also provides a convenient connection onto our premium service Sapphire and the MAX network allowing customers to travel to towns and cities across the region.’
