FlixBus acquires Postbus

FlixMobility has acquired Postbus, the long distance coach network of Deutsche Post DHL Group. From 1 November 2016, the Postbus services will begin to be integrated to the international FlixBus mobility platform. FlixBus is a European long distance mobility provider and brand of the FlixMobility group. The startup was founded and launched in Germany after the deregulation of the national market in 2013. It now runs 100,000 daily connections to 900 destinations in 20 countries, which it says is Europe’s largest network of long distance coaches. Postbus operates long distance coach services to 120 destinations within Germany and to neighbouring countries. FlixBus products will be distributed in 5,000 Post partner retail outlets by the end of this year.
