First Glasgow’s ‘biggest ever’ marketing campaign

First Glasgow has launched its biggest ever marketing campaign. The company is to distribute ‘Christmas vouchers’ to 420,000 households in the city, in total worth £2.5m. Customers making use of the vouchers will have the chance to win prizes, such as iPad minis, shopping vouchers and free bus travel. The giveaway is part of the company’s Christmas marketing campaign: ‘Great reasons to use First this festive season!’ Commercial Manager, John Elliot, believes more commuters will be travelling by bus in Glasgow throughout December. He said, ‘In the run up to Christmas we’re urging more residents in our network area to leave the car behind and make more journeys by bus.’

In a further promotion First Glasgow has launched its ‘2 for Onesie’ offer, which gives customers the opportunity to travel two for the price of one on First Night Bus services throughout December and January. Its Night Buses operate between 00.30 and 04.30 at weekends from Glasgow city centre for a £2 flat fare or £3 for travel to Lanarkshire.

First Glasgow’s MD, Fiona Kerr, said, ‘The introduction of our festive Night Bus fares is good news for revellers. £2 to transport two customers home is fantastic value and is sure to prove popular with customers throughout December and January.’
