Fire damages buses at NatEx Walsall garage
Heritage liveried Trident among the three buses damaged
Investigations into a fire that damaged a small number of buses at National Express West Midlands garage are continuing.
Three vehicles were damaged in the fire, one of them beyond economic repair. This was unfortunately Walsall depot’s heritage liveried 2005 Alexander ALX400-bodied Dennis Trident in the colours of Walsall Corporation Transport pre-1969.
West Midlands Fire Service attended the incident at the National Express Walsall garage last week.
National Express West Midlands confirmed no one was injured during the incident. It had no impact on bus services.
National Express is working with West Midlands Fire Service to investigate the cause of the incident.
