Festive fares

Fares of £1 per journey will be offered on Stagecoach and First buses in Sheffield on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. The services will run on most key routes between 08.00 and 17.30 and are operated as part of the Sheffield Bus Partnership and funded by Sheffield City Council. It will be the sixth year that the Council has funded the special services. MD for Stagecoach in Sheffield, Paul Lynch, said, ‘We understand that our customers still like to get around using the bus over Christmas, particularly on Boxing Day and the Christmas sales period. With this in mind partners continue to work together to provide the people of Sheffield with a convenient, realistic travel option.’
