EYMS marks 90 years

East Yorkshire Motor Services (EYMS) turned 90 years old on 5 October 2016. To mark the occasion, the operator has launched a bus in colours representing the four main liveries used over those 90 years. The Wrightbus Gemini’s front has the current burgundy and cream colouring, the centre section is the National Bus Company (NBC) poppy red with the NBC logo on the offside but on the nearside centre section is the slightly modified scheme it adopted immediately post NBC. This also includes the new East Yorkshire fleet name incorporating the white rose, which it originally adopted until reverting to the more traditional style used with the current livery. The rear section is in the original indigo and primrose scheme inherited from one of the two operators that came together to form EYMS, Lee and Beulah of Elloughton. The anniversary colour scheme was arranged in its in-house design studio.
