Euro Liners goes AWOL
Mystery surrounds the demise of Rednal-based Euro Liners. According to local press, the company has seemingly gone AWOL.
The 97/98 commercial bus service Euro Liners operated in Bromsgrove has ceased operating.
Local press has reported that a driver turned up to work at Euro Liners and found the business boarded-up.
Eye witness reports claim the Euro Liners vehicles are secured in its yard.
Cllr Alan Amos, Cabinet member with responsibility for Highways at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The 97/98 bus service was a commercial service run by Euro Liners. We were made aware by residents that this service had stopped, and we have been unable to make contact with the company.
“Other operators have been approached but due to low passenger numbers they have indicated that it is not a commercially viable route. We are currently talking to community transport about arranging an alternative service.”
Attempts by B&CB to contact Euro Liners have gone unanswered at the time of going to press.
The south Birmingham-based company has a 45-year history, according to its website. It provided minibus, coach and limousine services.
