Enviro400EV to be trialled in Jersey
Tower Transit’s Jersey operation, Liberty Bus, is to trial Alexander Dennis’ next generation Enviro400EV.
The Enviro400EV is being trialled over the next couple of weeks to evaluate the feasibility of running electric vehicles on route 15 from the island’s airport to St Helier. LibertyBus currently operates 11 double deckers, six of these being Alexander Dennis Enviro400s.
Tower Transit recently retained the contract to operate Jersey’s bus network on behalf of the island’s government until 2035. The agreement includes continued investment in fleet replacement, including zero-emission vehicles.
