EBUSCO electric buses to Norway
Norwegian transport operator, Boreal Transport Norge, has purchased two 100% electric buses from Dutch manufacturer EBUSCO. The vehicles will commence service in the city of Stavanger, the country’s third largest metropolitan area, on 7 April. They were developed and built by the Helmond based company, which is the first Dutch manufacturer to build a 100% electric vehicle.
At 12m long, with an aluminium body, the bus comes with a 250kWh battery pack storing sufficient power for at least 200km driving on one charge. This range was specified by Boreal, but the vehicle can also be supplied with a battery capacity of 311kWh, sufficient for 300km driving on a single battery charge. The battery will be charged overnight and is resistant to adverse weather conditions, something EBUSCO has developed whilst working with electric vehicles in Finland.
